Why should I use a professional pet sitter?

Having a professional pet sitter come to your home provides both you and your pet with many advantages. Your pet will remain in their familiar environment. We will continue providing the same daily routine of playtime/exercise for your pet. He/she will remain on their customary diet. Your pet will not be exposed to the illnesses that can commonly be found at the kennel. But the most important advantage to your pet is the one on one attention with a lot of TLC. The advantages for you include not being traumatized by leaving your pet in an unfamiliar place, you won't have to impose on friends or family, and you can return home to a happy pet even if you come home on a Sunday or holiday.

Will I get to meet the sitter(s) that will take care of my pet?

Yes. Before the first time we take care of your pet(s) we must set up an initial consult. This consult allows us to meet you and your pet and vice versa. At that time we will discuss the daily routine and the needs in detail. Also, at that time we will also go over any questions you have, go over the service agreement, and test the key.

Please note there is a $5.00 key pick up charge if key is not available at initial consult

What are your rates?

Our services are charged by the number of visits. The rates do vary depending on the service that you choose to go with, the number of animals, requirements of the job and possibly the location of your home (distance is figured from my home in Medina). The rates are below the national average.

My pet gets medication is that a problem and will there be an additional charge?

Many of our clients give medications to their pets. We will give oral, topical or SQ (under the skin) injections as prescribed by your veterinarian. There is no additional charge for giving oral or topical medication unless it requires 2 sitters to administer it. For injectable medication the rate may vary depending on how cooperative your pet is (if your pet is stressed out easily then we may recommend different arrangements).

When is payment due?

For vacation services the payment is due within 48 hours of your return home. For midday visits and dog walks you will be invoiced every other week. On-call service will be invoiced and payment is due upon receipt of the invoice. Please note that new clients and existing clients traveling for more then 10 days may be asked for a 50% deposit.

How many visits will my pet receive?

You determine the number of times per day that you want us to come over. We do require at least 2 visits per day for dogs and most large animals. Cats depending on their specific needs do well with 1 or 2 visits per day.

How much advance notice do you need?

We generally ask to have a least 1 weeks notice for vacation service. Our overnight service requires 3-4 weeks notice. While the on-call service requires 2 hours notice.

Do you only take care of dogs and cats?

No. While the majority of our clients have cats and dogs we also have clients that have horses, goats, pigs, birds, and pocket pets. We will also care for some reptiles. Nichole has also had experiences (pet sitting and/or while working in the veterinary field) with cows, alpacas, pet skunks and raccoons, and even a pet bob cat.

How do I contact you to schedule a consult?

You can call us at 330-242-3720 between 9am-9pm. Or e-mail us at happierathome@zoominternet.net
